TelesisMFG Bill of Material tracks all raw materials, components, and subassemblies used to build the product structure you use in your manufacturing process.
Maintain Product Structure
TelesisMFG Bill of Material helps you specify relationships between components and parents as well as quantities to 1/100,000 of a unit per assembly.
If necessary, substitute items may be defined within Bill of Material. In addition, inquiries and reports make use of effectivity date ranges and item revisions so that the user can phase in and phase out components and track historical data.
Obsolete structures can also be maintained. Use effectivity dates to designate when a component will become active or when an active component will become obsolete.
Create Planning Bills
A planning bill of material is a grouping of items in a bill-of-material format used to forecast optimal requirements for inclusion in Master Schedule and Material Requirements Planning. TelesisMFG Bill of Material supports modular planning bills which are arranged in product module or product option formats. Modular bills are also used in Master Scheduling to explode requirements properly for optional components.
TelesisMFG Bill of Material supports phantom bills. The phantom Bill of Material feature allows for the blow-through of non-stocked components and subassemblies for reporting and tracking purposes.
View Every Parent of Every Component
The where-used capability of TelesisMFG Bill of Material lets you display every parent of a specified component. The ability to identify every possible parent is especially important in determining "for which products" and "on what dates" obsolete components must be replaced. TelesisMFG provides two separate bills of material: one for engineering and one for production.
Bill of Material for Engineering
Now engineering can plan and make changes without disrupting manufacturing until design is complete.
Where-used bills of material can be used to track possible impacts to design changes, giving you the opportunity to determine the full scope of the design change. To save time and reduce the chance of user error, the engineering bill of material can be copied to the production bill of material and vice versa.
Bill of Material for Production
Used in conjunction with the standard routing, TelesisMFG Bill of Material lets you specify the operation where each component is used for more concise tracking of crucial operations in production.
Specify shrinkage and scrap factors for an accurate estimate of component usage. Tie a component to specific operations combined with shrinkage and scrap estimates to receive accurately-costed final products and scrapped assemblies.

User Control Information Flow
TelesisMFG feeds and receives information from Shop Floor Management and Material Requirements Planning by user choice or automatically, depending on how you define its usage. You can copy bills of material into standard routings or into work orders to get a quick, easy, and accurate manufacturing plan.
Select the Type and Range Of Information You Need With Flexable Inquiries And Reports

Make Technology Work For You
TelesisMFG harnesses technology to give you control of powerful features with ease and simplicity. TelesisMFG operates in the powerful NT and UNIX environments, wrapped in a first-class, fourth generation [4GL] relational database. TelesisMFG protects your data with user-definable passwords and multiple levels of user-defined group or individual security structures.
TelesisMFG screens are designed to present a common look and feel. Alpha-numeric generic searching capabilities let you use full or partial names or numbers to find customers, employees, part numbers, or other key information.
We want you to focus on your business--not on how to use our system. Our pop-up data displays provide relevant, valid code lists to speed data entry and provide point-and-click pick-lists to quickly and accurately gather sets of information. Our zooms offer access to related master files and applications containing information you need to make decisions for the task at hand. In addition, you can complement standard, context-sensitive, TelesisMFG help messages with your own procedural information to assure user consistency and easy implementation. Let TelesisMFG Bill of Material show you the relationships, costs, and quantities crucial to planning the manufacture of subassemblies and final assemblies. HIGHLIGHTS>>
